International trade activity in the Philippines improved by 4.8% year over year in April, including the first increase in exports – by a modest 0.4% – after four months of declines. The turnaround in dollar terms is due to semiconductor shipments rising by 1.2% from a 3.1% drop in April. That indicates an improved performance from Texas Instruments, which represented 33.4% of exports in 2018, and ST Micro.
