Typhoon Ampham has been rated a category 5 storm by GDACS, and is projected to hit just east of Kolkata before moving into Bangladesh. Panjiva’s data, filtered to a 200km region around Kolkata shows that U.S. imports of metals and seafood may be affected including steel and aluminum shipments for General Foundries and Hunter Douglas.
