Watco and Kansas City Southern will build a new Mexican rail terminal at San Luis Potosi to import U.S. liquid fuels. The country is currently facing a shortage of gasoline, with imports of liquid fuels having fallen 2% on a year earlier in the three months to November 30. Imports by rail only accounted for 6% of the total at that period, suggesting plenty of room for importers including Pemex and ExxonMobil to use the mode more.
