The European Union’s exports in Feb. 2019, the last of the major regions to report data, increased by 1.0% year over year in euro terms and fell by 2.9% in dollars. Against a backdrop of the spread of COVID-19 that might look positive, though a dip of 5.6% in exports from Germany indicates worse to come.
