California’s big three ports experienced handling growth of just 1% on a year earlier in July. That was largely down to Long Beach experiencing a decline for the first time since February 2017 due to an 8% slump in imports. A decline in shipments from Asia more broadly mean the LA, Long Beach and Oakland combined saw imports decline 1% vs. a nationwide rise of 8%.
