The U.K. government’s plans to remove the current pandemic lockdown will delay the reopening of non-essential retail until no earlier than April 12. That’s led the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders to note that may worsen the “continuing decline in retail business” for the automotive industry and which “will translate into reduced production volumes as well as giving rise to other operational issues”.
