Container handling through Taiwan’s ports fell for a second month in May. Total handling fell 0.4% on a year earlier, though Taichung saw an 11% growth while largest port Kaohsiung fell 2%. Panjiva data shows the slide likely continued in June with a 4% drop in U.S.-bound shipments. Taiwan was the worst performing of the five Asian port complexes tracked by Panjiva, with Hong Kong doing best with a 13% growth.
