Container handling through the seaports of Seattle and Tacoma climbed 10.0% on a year earlier in October, including a 22.1% surge in imports. The major drivers of the import growth were shipments from Canada and South Korea, which rose by 29.6% and 29.9% respectively, though China remains the most import origin at 41.0% of total inbound traffic.
