Mexico’s antitrust commission, Cofece, has determined that there is a lack of competition between rail services operators including Kansas City Southern and Ferromex. Remedies have yet to be defined. From a cross border perspective rail traffic has slowed recently, with a 3% slide in imports and exports combined in the 12 months to January 31 on a year earlier.
