Barbie, The Child add force to Mattel’s imports late in the shipping season

Mattel’s Barbie range of toys have become one of the 10 fastest growing U.S. brands in terms of sales after two Netflix shows boosted visibility. Others include Disney’s “The Mandalorian” and in particular toys linked to the character “The Child”. There’s been a late surge in toy shipments to the U.S. with an 8.4% rise in seaborne imports in October after an 8.5% dip in Q3’20.
