Food Feeds Veracruz’s Leadership of Mexican Port Growth

Mexico’s ports handled 8% more containers than a year earlier in February, the eighth straight month of growth. That was the result of a growth in exports of 16% for Pacific coast ports and 27% for Gulf coast ports, both of which outperformed the national rate in dollar terms. The fastest growing port was Veracruz, which maintained its number one spot ahead of Manzanillo for a fourth month.
