Protests by the Yaqui Indigenous communities of Sonora, Mexico are disrupting cross-border trade with the U.S. including the operations of Ford Motor’s plant at Hermosillo. Ford’s Mexican operations imported $1.57 billion of parts in the 12 months to June 30, led by $674 million of powertrain systems.
