Houston Hits High for Loaded Imports as Panama Plays Out

Container handling through Port Houston increased by 10% on a year earlier in June, the 11th month of growth out of 12. Imports of loaded containers jumped 25% to a new record, far outpacing the 4% growth in exports. That supports evidence from California’s ports that the U.S. trade deficit may increase once more.
