Maersk will reallocate its the U.K. base of its Transatlantic services to Liverpool from Felixstowe for 12 weeks. That’s in response to the Felixstowe’s IT service problems. It’s possible the move could become permanent when Maersk next updates its sailing schedules. The leading shippers using its TA2 and COEX services, which had an aggregate 17.7k TEUs of volumes in the second quarter include paper-maker UPM Kymmene and brewer Heineken.
