Iron ore miner Vale may face restrictions to its exports from Brazil after planning to close a blending facility in Malaysia in reaction to coronavirus disruptions according to S&P Global Platts. The firm may be able to divert shipments to China given the recovery there. Vale’s iron ore exports from Brazil fell 14.3% in January versus the Q4 average while exports by others including CSN and Anglo American slumped by 33.3%.
