CMA-CGM will relocate its operations at the port of Santos, Brazil to facilities run by DP World and away from those of Grupo Libra. CMA-CGM’s inbound volumes to the port have dropped 24.5% in the three months to Feb. 28, possibly one reason for its relocation. Most of its larger customers, including Samsung and Red Bull, have seen a downturn in volumes with Dow Chemical – whose volumes rose 44.4% over the same period – being an outlier.
