ONE Beats 2M As Norfolk Bucks The National Downward Import Trend

Container handling through the port of Norfolk and its neighbors climbed 4.3% year over year in February. A 5.0% improvement bucked the national trend of declining volumes. While shipments from China fell 7.0% there was a marked improvement in shipments from Europe and the rest of the world. The market landscape for imports from outside China and Europe to Norfolk has changed markedly.
