Prime Minister Trudeau will reportedly visit China in December with a view to starting negotiations towards a free trade deal. If successful that would be a result that President Trump did not achieve in his recent Asia trip. Such a deal would take years to complete though, not least because of complications with Canada’s CPTPP deal and China’s RCEP agreement.
